I thought this article was good to do some research before buying. I wanted to upgrade my old LCD and I had a Sony( KDL46EX503), an LG (8900 model) and the Sharp Aquos (LE821E) 46" LED TV's in mind and thought Plasma was sort of 'on it's way out' but now.....back to the drawing board. So, Plasma for the colors/contrast or LED for almost same but lower running costs and longer lasting (?). As article says, do a lot of research for the size & model you're interested in. As for me mind you, a friend gave me a (legit) site to look into and I can get the Sharp LC46LE821E for £700 including a 5-year warranty which looks favourite. I suppose like most things, buy the TV and '5 minutes later' see the same model or better for cheaper.
